Step 3:

Decorate the cake pops

This is the part of the recipe that is the most fun! You get to show off your creative decorating skills and make the pops come to life.

First, you need to melt a bag of white candy melts in a bowl, and add food dye to create a color. Then, take one pop and dip it into the icing and make sure it is completely covered around the whole cake ball.

You can repeat these steps to create more colors and add other details if you'd like. Another way to decorate is to add sprinkles to the top, and it is important to do this before the base layer of icing dries!

The inspiration for decorating can be anywhere from simple to complex. A few examples are shown in the images below:
